Mélanie advises foreign companies – mainly German, Austrian and English – established in France, in all areas of employment law.
SKILLS PROFILE
She assists her clients both in individual labour relations (establishment of the employment agreement, individual dismissal / economic [individual or collective] redundancy, mutual termination of the employment agreement, disciplinary sanctions, etc.) and collective labour relations (negotiation and conclusion of company agreements, organisation of professional elections, etc.).
In case of litigation, she represents companies before the French Courts and more particularly before the Labour Tribunals (so called “Conseil de prud’hommes”).
Native French speaker; she is fluent in German and English.
EXPERIENCE
Mélanie is a member of the Paris Bar since 2020.
She holds a master’s degree in French German Labour and Corporate law from the Universities of Cergy-Pontoise and Heinrich Heine in Düsseldorf. She studied and practised between France and Germany, then trained as a lawyer at the Lawyer School Grand-Est.
Before joining SOFFAL in 2020, Mélanie acquired practical experience in different structures but always in a Franco-German dynamic:
- law firms in Düsseldorf, Paris and Strasbourg
- legal departments of an NGO in Berlin, the town hall of Erkrath and an employers’ organisation in Strasbourg
- Court of first instance and Court of appeal in Düsseldorf
